Dr. Brian Frandsen

Dr. Brian Frandsen was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After graduating from Sierra High School in 1987, he studied at Ricks College and Portland State University. He then moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he received his DDS from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 1998.

Dr. Frandsen spent the next four years in Williamsburg, Virginia, before moving to Salt Lake City to work in a large dental practice. In 2007 he started his practice in Orem, Utah, and has since expanded his offices throughout the Greater Utah Valley and Salt Lake City areas. He has four children.

Dr. Frandsen believes excellence in dentistry lies in the relationships he develops with his patients. He listens to each person’s goals and includes them with treatment needs. Every patient is an active partner when it comes to planning care and making decisions that lead to desired outcomes.

When not serving their church, Dr. Rich and his wife, Cindy, enjoy cooking, traveling, boating, and watching the Arizona Diamondbacks play.

Dr. Brittany Johansen

Dr. Brittany Johansen’s lifelong dream has been to become a dentist. As far back as the second grade, she wanted to be a dentist. A lot has changed since the second grade, but the fulfillment of her dream is lived out everyday working as a dentist.

Dr. Johansen graduated college from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and is glad to be back in the great state of Utah serving those who have played an integral part earlier on in her academic career. Dr. Johansen went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and certificate in Advanced Education in general dentistry from the residency program at Idaho State University. Dr. Johansen strives to deliver the highest quality of dentistry, by continually learning and developing genuine patient relationships. She finds enjoyment in seeing the progress of a patient, including improvements in not only oral health care, but sporting, schooling, and home achievements as well. The authentic connections with patients are a big reason why she enjoys being a dentist.

Dr. Johansen is a proud mother of three beautiful and smart children, Spencer, Cameron, and Ellie. Her husband, Daniel, is the anchor of their family by holding down the fort at home, supporting Dr. Johansen in all her endeavors, and bringing the family into the office for lunch with mommy sometimes. Their kids love living in Utah, and being close to family and cousins. Dr. Johansen and her family like to be adventurous, whether it is trying new food or a new campsite. They also enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking. Their dog, Macy, also accompanies them on some of their adventures. Dr. Johansen and her family are involved in church and enjoy the fellowship of others. Don’t be too shy to say hi if you see Dr. Johansen around town!

Dr. Dan Dansie

Dr. Dan Dansie is a Doctor of Dental Surgery who extracts wisdom teeth at multiple dental offices in Utah and Alaska. Throughout his dental career he has successfully removed over 45,000 wisdom teeth along with thousands of complicated extractions. Dr. Dansie has worked with over a dozen different CRNAs, and he is currently certified through Rocky Mountain Sedation to administer IV sedation to his patients. He is also certified to offer oral sedation. His education started at Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University. While attending Brigham Young University, he was able to apply for dental school and was accepted to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Creighton professors ranked him at the top of his class two years consecutively for his technical lab skills. His senior year he had the opportunity to work alongside Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon William Wyatt DDS, MD, gaining more oral surgery knowledge and experience.

After graduating in 1994 with his doctorate from Creighton, he opened his own office where he practiced general dentistry for 15 years in Payson, Utah. During this time he continued to advance in oral surgery by learning with Karl Koerner DDS, MS, a renowned world-wide expert and speaker on basic oral surgery. Dr. Koerner was and still is a great friend and mentor. Dr. Dansie also worked with Sargon Lazarof, DDS from Encino, California. Sargon Lazarof DDS, inventor of the only FDA approved “Immediate Load” Dental Implants (Sargon Dental Implants), personally trained Dr. Dansie how to place and load them. Then on behalf of Dr. Lazarof, Dr. Dansie lectured in multiple states and trained other doctors how to place the Sargon Implant. He has placed about 1,100 dental implants. Dr. Dansie will always be grateful to the Utah Implant Pioneer “Guru” Lecturer, dental surgeon, and friend Max J. Malan, DDS who has always been a true mentor. Dr. Dansie likes to give back where he can, and has had opportunities to perform charitable dental work for “Dentistry from the Heart” and many others just because. For the past five years, Dr. Dansie has focused full time on extracting wisdom teeth at many offices as a general dentist.

When he is not busy working, he enjoys being outdoors with his friends and family. He has been married to his wife Cindy for 30 years, and they have eight awesome children, two grandchildren and one on the way! He loves people and he will usually tease and joke with his patients, making them smile.
